The British Estonian Association brings together a wide range of people living in Britain who are interested in Estonia. Some have worked there, some have ethnic Estonian links, others have been active in cultural exchanges. Some have become members when they returned from a first visit there and found themselves instantly enthusiastic.
We have regular meetings at the Estonian Embassy and hope soon to organise others outside London. Concerts by Estonian musicians or exhibitions by Estonian artists often enable us to have a social gathering around these occasions.
Every 6 months, BEST members receive a copy of LENNUK, the highly regarded BEST journal, which in every issue offers a wide range of articles on Estonia not available anywhere else. Click on LENNUK for more information.
Take a look as well at NEWS AND EVENTS for a list of recent and forthcoming events. Under CONTACT you can give your views on some of these and make suggestions for future ones.
The members of the committee are: Neil Taylor (Chairman), Derek Buckley (Treasurer), Tina Tamman (Editor of Lennuk), Ann Alari, Denis Filby, Katrin Legrain, Angus Murray.
We hope all this will tempt you to join us. We always welcome new members.
